The Allimand pneumatic headboxes produce a wide range of papers and boards at
production speeds of between 40 and 800 m/min.
Compact and designed to prevent fibres from catching, the Allimand air-loaded

WINDER

Located just after the paper machine, the winder divides the parent roll into shipping rolls ready for the customer’s final needs.
The objective is to wind the “finished” paper onto reel spools with an optimum density, without any winding defects (folds for example) and with a sufficient cross direction profile hardness for the final customers (or slitters). In addition to Allimand’s know-how with regards to paper machines, it has also been manufacturing winders for many years and has many references for a winder with 2 winding drums. The latest generation winder, resulting from the latest developments and calculations by finite elements, can reach a winding speed of 2500m/min with reel diameters of 1600mm.
The winding quality control is reinforced by a winder integrated control system which controls the linear pressure and tightening torque (by drive).

How Does the Conformatic™ AL Creping Holder Work?                                          Significant upgrades to the holder’s adjustability was achieved with a proprietary adjustment mechanism allowing for precise control of the holder profile across the entire Yankee face. The robust construction is designed for high-performance tissue machines and features a self-conforming liquid tube, a backup blade, and a quick removal feature that allows the holder to be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

Stationary and Oscillating Showers     

 

Stationary showers are used for filtered freshwater and clarified whitewater applications where an even full-width distribution of water is required. They are usually furnished with fan-pattern nozzles; however, Kadant offers an array of fan angles and orifices for optimal spray pattern.
Oscillating showers uniformly cover the width of the fabric, roll or cylinder. Oscillating showers are typically used when high-pressure needle jets are required to deliver concentrated, high-energy spots to clean fabrics, rolls or cylinders. Oscillating showers are also used for chemical or lubrication fan showers for superior and additional flow distributions. Oscillating showers can be furnished with jet nozzles and any combination of alternating jet and fan nozzles.

 Oscillators are devices that move a shower pipe back and forth across the showered surface. Electro-mechanical shower oscillators are precisely synchronized with the machine speed and fabric loop to ensure that 100% of the fabric is cleaned. Oscillating shower systems are critical to fabric, roll or cylinders cleaning performance because they permit the use of higher intensity needle jet nozzles for deeper cleaning action or better flow distribution on lubrication or chemical applications.

Roll wrapping

Sicma can supply a full range of equipment able to wrap paper rolls on the basis of all the most recent techologies actually on the market.
 
The protection of the paper rolls can be done with axial or radial stretch film wrapping or with kraft paper in accordance with the newest and most common applications: full web type (different widths kraft paper rolls on dedicated unwinding stands), stripes or spiral wrapping by means of travelling trolley with unwinding stand on board; special solutions in accordance with particular customer’s needs for example, by means of stretchfilm and external board disk, stretchfilm and external foldable board disk applied with tape, kraft paper and external foldable board disks applied with tape.

Automatic Warehouses

Sicma has developed different technologies to manage the storage of products in the Mills based on each specific requirement, with particular reference to: paper rolls, printing cylinders, pallets.
 
Depending on the kind of product and the type of loading unit to be stored, Sicma proposes the suitable handling system: slat, rollers or chain conveyors, travelling shuttles, cranes.
 
The automatic storage in the rack can be done through stacker cranes or over-head cranes.

Automation systems for Printing Houses or for Converting‌

Sicma can supply all the systems typically necessary in the Printing Houses for packaging, editions, daily newspaper and special applications.

The range of products includes, besides the specific warehouses, all the solutions finalized to the automatic handling by means of automatic cranes and printing cylinders picking-up for the operations of washing, turning, chrome plating, copper plating and engraving.

The product line also propose the automation of the roll loading/unloading operations from the Rotary Presses, Printing Machines and Winders as, in example, travelling shuttles, conveyors, lifting platforms, unwrapping stations.  

Handling and storage systems for PM rolls
(Jumbo Rolls)

Sicma designs and manufactures automatic handling and storage systems for the PM Rolls (Jumbo Rolls).

A typical application includes the supply of trucks moving on rails which are loaded / unloaded either manually or automatically at various site locations (PM output, transfer to Coaters, Calenders, Winders).

The storage systems can also be manual or fully automated, including if necessary the unwinding system of the reject rolls to the PM pulper.

Sicma can design and manufacture many different and possible plant architectures for feeding the pulpers in the Paper Mills.

The handling systems can include the storage of the virgin pulp bales for type in units or as single bales, the automation of the unit destacking in single bales, the manual or fully automated wires cutting and removal system from the unit, the single pulp bales or the waste paper bales, the conveying system to distribute the recipes to the different pulpers.  

Wire Winder

Sicma produces two different types of machinery to allow easy disposal of the steel wires removed from the unit and from the single bales: the traditional Wire Winder for single bale steel wires, (more than 250 references,) is characterized by its small size and simple installation that only requires a simple connection to the electrical supply for a power consumption of 4 kW and to the pneumatic supply for an operating pressure of 2 bar; and the Wire Winder for unit, that is recommended for the harder and longer steel wires taken  from the unit (two stacks of 3-4 bales).

Syncromaster‌

Sheeters for paper and boardThis range of sheeters is designed to
provide high performance with high cut quality. The technology of this construction satisfies the operator’s request to have a very simple way
to operate on the sheeter under all working conditions, with easy change of both format and production parameters. Milltex created the variable geometry on the cutting unit to fit the cutting angle to different paper
or board type for the achievement of the best clearness in the transversal cut.

Syncroflex DIGI

Cut size for ream (digit formats)
The Syncroflex Digi has a cutting range between 210 mm length and 600 mm length.
The machine is equipped with pocket to collect the ream and a pincers for the ream exit. A transversal conveyor belt is positioned in front of the pincers to collect the ream and to transport the same in left or right way.

‌Sheeter direct drive with only one cutting motor. This sheeter is designed for paper and board with a studied flexibility to have a maximum performance also For the small formats and when the production request small quantity per format. The flexibility of this sheeter is important for the range of format and for the fast time for the format change.
Small format ( from 250 to 600 mm). This small formats are cut with high speed thanks a new electronic cutting system “Dual Top”
Normal format (from 500 to 1600 mm). This formats are cut with the same Milltex technologies that are used in the SincrMaster sheeters.

Top type unwinder‌

‌Shaftless Unwinds to taken the reels directly from floor. The expanding shaft are made with a automatically mechanically system of expansion. The brake can be in one side or two side by pneumatic brake or by motor. The web tension control can be made by degressive system or by load cell. The expanding shafts can be with one diameter per type or with two diameter each. They are available with all the core diameters possible. The reel introduction can be made from left / right side or from back side

Ultra Compact Dispersing System (UCD)‌

The UCD system consists of only three machines: screw press, infeeder/steamheater, and disperser. This solution offers the most compact design possible, something that saves both plant space and investment cost.

Knife gate valve MV
 
Stafsjö’s knife gate valve MV can be used within a wide range of applications on both dry and wet media such as pulp stock up to 7% concentrations, sludge, slurry, biomass, water, ash, granulate and different kinds of waste.

Stafsjö’s gland box system with TwinPack braids ensures that no media reaches the surrounding environment. It can also be reinforced with a box bottom scraper or with a double gland for the most demanding applications.
The MV valve is available in size ranging from DN 50 up to DN 1600 (2” to 64”).
